Micrometric Vision Technologies, Inc. (MVT) is announcing, world's first color 3-D laser sensor series, delivering depth and color information in real time. Optimized for portable laser scanning, the sensors obtain complex 3-D geometry and texture with color-per-vertex quality, a breakthrough performance over any commercial scanning technologies.
Revolutionary introduction of vision technology for leapfrogging and alignment add other unique features such as consistent model creation, stitching elimination, and non-contact workspace extension. Live video navigation offers unmatched operation control through visual feedback.
CLS60 is the first color sensors of the CLS series. XLS sensors series features cross-hair laser pattern option, capable switching scanning mode to non-contact point probing seamlessly. Alternating single-point probing and point cloud generation significantly helps reverse engineering and measurement applications.
Up to 36,000 points per second can be achieved, with 0.001" accuracy. Integrated software supports real time rendering, clean up operations, parameters controls, surfacing and data export. Intelligent sensitivity control performs in real-time driven by detected texture information.
Popular digitizing arms and portable CMM, such as Microscribe and Romer are supported.
Palm-sized, with IEEE1394 industry standard connectivity, they respond to increasing demands to capture geometry and texture fast and accurately, real-time model creation, and ease of use.

CLS sensors can serve multipurpose applications owed to rich information content it delivers.
Applications include design, manufacturing, 3-D photography, reverse-engineering, non-contact 3-D measurement, heritage preservation and archiving, multimedia, medicine, entertainment, 2D/3D machine vision.

MVT believes its advanced 3-D sensing products will contribute significantly to advancing shape and color capture technology, bringing close-range 3-D scanning and 3-D photography to desktops and to new levels of popularity.
